HISTORICAL FICTION

All fiction is, to some extent, escapist – it takes us away from our own lives and into those of other people. And, what could be more escapist than to travel with your writing into the past?

The historical novel, a firm favourite with the reading public, is a genre that attracts many writers and the popularity and demand for historical writers is unquestionable. So, what is the secret of this appeal?
